A few of my costume bracelets and necklaces I have collected over the years.I am being a tad lazy cramming them into 4 photos!
The green glass faceted stone bracelet with a fold over clasp I found in a Vinnies charity store 10 or more years ago with its matching brooch. Not sure of its vintage could possibly be 1980's I think it is very pretty and the stones are a nice size.
1970's flat curb link solid brass I.D. bracelet each link is hand forged and is a very well made bracelet.
The antique chain is hallmarked on every link for 18 Carat rolled
gold.
I found this many years ago on a week-end trip with my husband to a little country town in N.S.W it was sold to me as old costume jewellery along with the white metal bracelet with a rose on each panel and the rhinestone bracelet. Happy to find it is not costume after a gentle clean with my jewellers cloth!
French tourist bracelet I think from the 1920's but could be later and another bracelet with the marking on the back of each link EPNS (electroplated nickel silver).
They are beautiful!! My favorite one is the one with clear rhinestones.
The tourist bracelet is so interesting! I love the AB one(of course) although I do wish my name was Annette!!
Thanks lentilka11! And a favorite of mine! Has a couple of stones missing but still a beautiful bracelet I love to wear:)
The rolled gold chain is lovely......don't think I have ever seen one with all the links stamped this way!!!
Thank you racer4four! Can never have enough A.B.jewellery!!"Annette" had good taste in jewellery!!(judging by her bracelet):)
Thanks nutsabotas6!The emerald glass stones are really pretty. I have the matching brooch I think you would like! It has a very large green stone with 2 smaller stones either side.
Thanks TassieDevil! I have come across a couple of very old chains like this.
I will take a close photo and post it I dont think its stamps are visible with the group photo I posted.
I will do it now...
Hi Betty.....I don't see Rolled Gold marks on the links.....I only see 18C for 18 carat!!! Are you sure it isn't real gold?
Cheers to that Valentino!!! I will join you:)
Hi TassieDevil, I thought it was 18 carat gold also after I had polished the chain I could see the hallmarks!! Acid tests for 18 carat rolled gold by a jeweller:)
Really Betty!!! I would have to get a second opinion! Perhaps the rolled gold mark was on the missing clasp do you think??
Either way it is really beautiful!!!!
Meant to ask how much jewellers roughly charge to test for gold......I have never had it done but have a couple of pieces I would like to have tested!
