found this very Mid Modern looking bowl. Marked on the bottom with Italy and the number # 6828. Neat Piece! Anyone know why on the right side of the bowl it has a horizontal slit? Not sure of the maker other than Italy......LOL. Any extra info is Welcomed !!

Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!

Interesting bowl. Do your fingers fit through the slit? :-))))) I have a dog bowl with a slit on one side for easier carrying.

I think it is by the Fratelli Fanciullacci aka FF these days.

Definitely FF. I have the same decor on a vase. I love this stuff! 1950s.

Very interesting design Rosie... do you think the slit could possibly be a design element?

Rick55 --> Thanks Rick for the suggestion. It may be, but I do not know why as it grabs my eye more than the colors. You think the colors would be the attention grabber.

Hi AntiqueRose, Happy New Year to you & yours. I don't know how I missed this wonderful plate for so long. It's design is fabulous and takes me straight back to my childhood :) thank you

I think the slit could have been for some sort of wicker handle or similar
