    pre 64 ERN stag handled beauty !

    this 1 is as perfect as ive seen. needless to say , its unsharpened with its sheath and box. its a super nice knife that I actually got at a fair price... its certainly worth twice what I paid... yeee haw !!!!!

    my son is gonna have a great time with these knives long after im gone, and it tickles my soul !

      thanks Nevada. I believe the handle is a plastic stag, according to most reading ive done. ive also seen a few with splits in the stag, which is quite common on real stag.

      ive other erns with different proof marks.
      this 1 has no wald Solingen or crown and sword on the reverse side.

      1 has the crown and sword, but no wald Solingen.

      1 has only wald Solingen but no crown and sword.
      1 other that I have is marked like this 1. no wald or crown...

      my guess at there ages ... all are older than 1964 but built after 1950. it took Germany 2 yrs to even be able to develop knives like this after the war.

      my medium stockman pocket knife might be a lil older... perhaps early 40s bearing the crown and sword marks, but I highly doubt it.
