Sold by Neva-Clog, the Duplex Stapler was manufactured in Germany. It was available in the U.S. from 1928 to about 1936. While it didn't do well over here it was popular enough in Europe for the design to be licensed to a number of different companies. There were two slightly different designs for this stapler, the one pictured being the older first version.

I've never had a stapler that works well. The old ones work better, but my '40s Swingline wastes half the staples by jamming up. LOL.
I've always found that the older staplers work better too. But if your Swingline isn't working well there are lots of other terrific choices out there in vintage staplers.
Love the big knob, looks like it means business !
