Edwardian (Australian)bracelet in 9 ct gold with 2 charms also in gold.
I have reposted this as the photos in the previous post were not very good. I have had one of the rubys replaced since then (fallen out at some stage). The chain consists of small belcher links with decorative capping in the middle and at both ends of the bracelet.
The jug has 2 light and 2 dark natural rubies that are grain set and both charms have beautiful repousse work. Stamped for 9ct gold and makers initials BG.

It's an exceptional piece Betty. Between you and Judy, KiwiPaul and Jewels1900 there is so much wonderful Australian jewellery.
The work in this is so wonderful - even the belcher links are nice to look at!

have you found anything about BG?

This is so beautiful Betty.....do you think it could have started life as a pocketwatch chain?

      Thanks for the compliment Karen!

Thank-you karen:) My mother inherited this from her grandmother-now I wear it proudly. My mother hardly wore it only on special occasions I on the other hand have loved wearing it! I do feel bad for losing one of the rubys.
With the maker I have had no luck with finding any information on who made this fine bracelet other than it being made in Australia.

Hi Judy, I don't think so,it was made to be worn as a bracelet according to my mother:)

Beautiful! And family heirloom is even more precious!
I think too it was originally a watch chain with fobs as Valentino's, the dog clip is a clue too :-)

Hi Betty, this is defiantly an Albertina (ladies watch chain). Also I think it's
English. I've seen those square spacers on gold & silver Abertinas before.

It may have originally had the ball, although tassels are much more common. It's missing it's original T Bar. The jug would have been added later. It's of the period or maybe a little earlier.

Hi Jewels1900, Thanks for your info about this piece.I can imagine my great grandmother wearing this as an albertina !

Hi Valentino, Your 2 silver watch chains look great!(love the silver too!)
Very possible it could have been a watch chain albertina that my great grandmother had converted to a bracelet for my mum!
