this is a really nice colonial knife sent to me by k.j. hannigan = Nevada blades. weve become pretty darn good internet friends. I am truly stunned !

this 4 in. knife looks fantastic. I don't know much about its age, but I do know it has a life time guarantee. that says a lot about the worksmanship and the materials used.

he sent me an e-mail before hand. said I might wanna oil it or clean it up. I never expected it to look this good. I had planned to use it as my carrying knife. but it is just too fine to put through any abuse. although, im quite sure it could handle it.

thanks, Nevada, any info you have about it is so appreciated. I cant thank you enough... this 1 will stay mine till my days end .

the only slight places on the knife are from closing the blade. the pictures surely do it no justice.

Hey, Andy, thank you for your kind words of appreciation.

Because I'm not the original owner, having won the auction for the knife on eBay, I know nothing of its history before it came into my possession. I'm sure you know that the Colonial Knife Company is still in business and still makes all but a very few of its knives here in the U.S.A.. Because their tang marks have remained unchanged for several years, it's difficult, if not downright impossible, to pinpoint the exact year one of their knives was made. Judging by the appearance and condition of this knife, though, I would venture to say that this knife is relatively new, probably less than a decade old.

I'm glad you like the knife, Andy. Enjoy.
