My husband's grandma gave us this Stunningly Awesome ?Murano? glass Vase. If anyone knows for sure who the maker for this is, let me know. Also, if you have a better description, please share. 12 1/2" tall X 7"wide. Edited to change from Murano to Chalet glass.

      Possibly Chalet or Lorraine?
    2. Alan2310 Alan2310, 8 years ago
Lisa, like an older friend use to say to me"a good clear shot of the base will help to ID"
Like Karen say, could be Chalet or Loraine, Murano is very possible, even Czech
Regardless of who maker is it, beautiful glass Bowl.

      Regards
      Alan

OK Alan, you are right. It seemed unremarkable, so I didn't. But I'll try to add. Thanks for the input, Alan and racer4four:)

Beautiful shape and striking color EZa! Based on the shape, I would say Chalet also. Let's see what Rosie has to say, she has a nice collection of Chalet Glass and is very familiar with it.

Thanks for the input Rick55, I'd never really heard of Chalet (or Lorraine) before. So I'll have to do a little research. Great! Thanks!

Thanks again, AntiqueRose. I haven't read all of the articles yet, but I will. Not selling it at this time because it goes great in our mid-century style home, but maybe in the future. Grandma said, "Don't sell it!" because I sell everything on Ebay- ha ha ha, so I won't, right now anyway:)

I believe this is called a (Canadian) - Chalet SPLASH vase. It looks like water splashing up
    24. Dawnlady1, 3 years ago
Hi, Yes this is Chalet glass and known as a “Splash” most Chalet pieces are etched Chalet on the bottom. I have this same piece with the Chalet etch on the bottom. Stickers were also used and removed once at home.
