I was surprised at how heavy this was when I took it off the wall at the thrift shop. I saw it there last week but didn't pay too much attention to it because I thought it was one of those thin, cheap, pressed wall decorations. Measures 8 inches in diameter. The maker's initials are there, but I have not a single hope of putting a name to those initials. :-( This might be from the 1930s or the 1960s, I really don't know. Made for the tourist market. It now hangs on my living room wall.
Thanks for looking/loving, friends.

It's a really good looking plate even though the subject matter has been overdone (like Australian stuff with koalas or kangaroos). I can see how well it's made and the picture is actually really well designed. Nice one Bonnie!
karen - typical souvenir stuff. I'm usually nearly drowning in Delft, so this is something quite different. I wish I knew when it was made, so can only guess. I haven't seen another one yet, so maybe it is 1930s/1940s. Most of these things get tossed out, rather than handed down, when someone dies
