Hi, I know that my smaller Adams lamp on the left is fairly rare with the flower still inside the stem, I was just wondering if the larger lamp which in Thuro's book is called a stem container lamp, came with a flower or someone added it? The lamp in Thuro's book has an empty stem and different font but everything else is the same. Any info and even current value of both lamps would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ed
does your Adam's lamp with the flowers happen to have any writing still in tact. Adams also made cake stands with these hollow stems to hold dried arrangements and the paper was dated 1881-1882. I have one of the cake stands but no flowers:

I've seen these stem container lamps with reverse painted ladies or flowers but never with plastic?/ paper flowers. RER
Yes, it has about half of the writing still intact on the bottom of the flowers so it's definitely without a doubt the ones that came with it, and as for the larger lamp I'm haven't taken it apart if even possible to inspect the flowers, but I will try to when I get a chance, by just looking at them though they definately don't look like plastic
Cake stand is very cool looking btw!
And the flat sided burner by Bridgeport looks fantastic on the Adams lamp!
