In 1974 my mother brought home a 6-pack of Coca-Cola which included a double capped bottle. I have kept the bottle ever since, unopened. In all my research, the only information I have found on a manufacturer defect is - keep it! .... Coca-Cola bottlers destroyed flawed bottles. I've also found that the bottler plant location is of value based on location and size. This one was bottled in Jacksonville, TX which, I believe, is the city where Pepsi Cola branched off from Coca Cola. I would love additional information and how I might determine this bottle's value.
It seems like it's always Coca-Cola who screws up in bottles. They've made everything from the wrong colour to bottles that hit the shelves when part of the filling machine has broken off inside of them.
Thank you SpiritBear. Will you please refer me to reference material regarding these bottles? I have had an enjoyable but frustrating time finding information. Thank you.
