My dad recently found this regal lamp for me at a neighbor's estate sale. I found no markings on the base, and only the standard "Leviton" mark on the cord switch.
I love the frosted, airbrush-style paint details on the shade and base. Reminds me of German "spritzdekor" pottery from the 1930s. [http://aqqdesign.com/SPRITZDEKOR-3]
Anyone seen this style before or know what time period or manufacturer may have produced them?
Thanks Thomas! It's definitely a very unique style / shape. :)
ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LAMP, Hunter! GREAT FIND by your Dad! [;>)
Thanks NB! And yes, Thomas, it definitely seems to reference classical architecture with that column-style base (the bottom two steps are made from wood I believe, while the rest is ceramic).
Very nice architectural style which is rare enought without the highly unusual shade
I am with NevadaBlades on this. Looks like this is in the running for item of the day.
What a fabulous table lamp!! I tried several different searches in reference to art deco table lamps, but didn't find one like yours.
Wow!!! Love it!
Very Nice, Indeed !!!!
Winner. Awesome lamp - sorry I can't answer any questions about it, just admire it!
Fabulous find from your dad, have a good home now.
Congrats Hunter.
Regards
Alan

...@ Hunter....Question.....What that the first 10 items posted on CW here? Can you put a link to them as it will take me too long to get through all the pages, and I assume you can get to them faster....Thanks
Rose the first posts will likely not appear if you searched all the names as many of those people are gone off CW along with posts or they are no longer posting
Interesting question antiquerose: Manikin is correct that some of the earliest posts have been deleted, but since each unique S&T is assigned a number, you can scroll through the earliest items that are still live on the site, beginning with this Hood Milk sign posted by our founder, Dave Margulius. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/3-hood-milk-signs--elsie-the-cow?in=all
You can see in the URL that this was item #3 (whereas the most recent item posted is number 208324). If you click the lefthand image in the navigation buttons next to the area that says "All Items" you will then move forward in time to the next oldest item, and so on. The second is this Florida House sign: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/4-florida-house-sign-in-washington-d-c?in=all
Let me know if that makes sense! Another way to find the oldest items is to go to the "Latest Posts" page and click the furthest numbered button on the upper right (currently, it's page 3327). This will show the oldest items posted: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/all/page-3327
Also, I just looked closely, and all the items on that oldest page were posted by employees at the time. ;-)
HAPPY NEW YEAR HUNTER !!! ! !!!

Thanks Sean! Happy V-Day everyone. <3
@Hunter -- I know people tend to shorten works like you said above [ Happy V-Day everyone. <3 ] ==== as I know it meant Valentines Day, but when I first read it I thought is said < embarrassed >::
~ ~ " Happy V.D. Day" ~ ~ and it just take a whole different meaning. Sorry must need new glasses here again !!!
