This one has so many colors - blue, orange, red, gold, purple... Banded Iron formation consists of alternating layers of iron oxides and shale, chert, tiger eye or jasper. The iron oxide layers are generally composed of the minerals magnetite and hematite but other rarer iron oxides are also found in these formations. The black to gray to silver colored iron oxide layers contrast with the iron rich chert, jasper and shales which are generally red in color.
And while the bottle was made within the last hundred years or so, the material it is made of dates as old as 3 billion years!
The top is red jasper.
If I could I would love this twice.
Hahaha Thanks racer4four!
