Going through some old boxes in the attic today I found this Belmar pocket watch... which I know absolutely nothing about, and Google didn't yield much in terms of results either!
I rather like how slim it is, and the fact that it still works!
Does anybody know anything about these?

      Hi, nice watch!
Here is what Mikrolisk says about the name:

      http://www.mikrolisk.de/show.php?site=280&suchwort=belmar&searchMode=exact&searchWhere=trademark#sucheMarker

So it looks like it's a Swiss movement cased in the US in Baltimore or NY, depending what it says on the inner case back.
If it's a US made case, above is correct.
If it's a Swiss/other made case, it was imported as a whole watch.
What I don't see is the US import code on the movement. These are usually situated on the balance cock.
They were first used in the mid-1930's until the mid-60's.
Here is a list of those codes:

      http://www.ranfft.de/uhr/info-uscode-e.html

So, if no code it probably dates to pre mid-30's.

      Hope it helps, Bob.

      Thanks Bob!
I don't see import codes anywhere either.
The back of the case has "Watch Star Case Company" stamped (and a little star) and the number 3035953.

      You're welcome!
Star watch case co. is a US company, many manufacturers used their cases.
Most famously, the Type A-11 military watch from WW2 used the Star company cases for all manufacturers!
