I love the practice of repurposing. Would much prefer making use of vintage finds than purchasing plastic replacements! I found this awesome clock case minus the workings on a shopping trip. The glass was painted where the clock face had been and I scraped that out, tightened some screws and polished it off. Now I have a display case for smalls.
This wonderful vintage laundry basket is in great shape with the exception of a small patch which totally adds to the charm. I imagine many loads of wash carried to and from the line in the yard.
And the best part...I got them at 1/2 price as the sellers were scaling down! I spent 12.50 on the clock case and 10 on the basket and I am a happy camper!
