Does anyone recognize this makers mark?? The doll has jointed arms and legs, wooden body, metal hands, head and shoes. It has mechanical brown eyes. It is held together with a type of rope. No top of head. Looks to have a letter G inside a six point star and U.S. Pa. Any help appreciateid.

Oh the top of head would be covered with a pate made of a stiff cloth cap with wig attached . The open head is correct that is how it should look. You can buy a pate cheap and doll should have mohair wig or human hair . You will need to measure across opening to get right size .
