It looks Norwegian/Scandinavian and seems to be some kind of pot holder or something like that. i've seen them before but can't remember what they are. i bought it at urban ore in berkeley the other day.

Nice, though it doesn't really look Scandinavian to me, at least not Swedish. Perhaps from the Alps. Switzerland/Austria is also a possibility.
