This has been in my family for years. It was in the home of my great grandmother. I have never seen another one like it. I am assuming it is a sake set. I do not know if it is pottery or porcelain. It has MADE IN JAPAN painted on the bottom in yellow. Anyone have any information on this piece? The pot is 5 1/5 inches high and the cup is 2 inches high.

It could go either way, it's a tad large for saki, and the tokurri typically do not have lids, but there are so many out there, some probably do. My bet is on tea, and a missing cup
