These are my B squad of Matchbox Fire Engines. These are lose models and are not quite mint but they are in pretty good condition. The fire chief car was covered last week so I will start with photo #2.
Photo #2 features a pair of Merryweather fire engines. The Superfast model is from 1970, it has the metalflake paint job and mag wheels. The base is plastic and it is rather light. The other Merryweather fire engine is #9 in the series and sold from 1959-1965. A classic Matchbox. I don't have boxed versions of either.
Wrapping it up are the Foamite Crash Tender, Fire Pumper Truck and Land Rover Fire Truck. I have boxed versions of these which will be appearing eventually.
Ah - fire well under control in matchbox town.
Thank you very much racer4four. It is all good now.
