I was given this ring to photograph and to try and find out some of its history . The ring was taken from a dead German soldier.
So far we have worked out that it was made by Carl Schnauffer
there factory was in Dresden Germany. The ring is small and only fits on my small finger . I am guessing that it was a child's ring maybe given to him when he joined Hitler's youth When he was older and became a real soldier he was given this little bag to carry it in, maybe from his mother ?. Lots of guessing lol dose anyone know the symbols on it you can see the Nazi symbol and maybe the old guy in the middle could be Woden a Anglo-Saxon God. Would love to know if anyone has seen anything like this I can find silver things made by the above but no rings. love to here Any information on this ring or thoughts on this ring

Nice! What makes you think it's Carl Schnauffer, withouth the maker's mark? The marks I've seen from Schnauffer have a slightly different crown. The hallmark could be German, but if so there should really be a crescent moon next to the crown. Can you clean it with a toothbrush to make sure there is a crescent moon?

Here you go, the coat of arms for the Polish town Wroclaw, Breslau in German. Superimposed on a swastika. Breslau was German before WWII

Apparently, not the official nazi coat of arms, so difficult to date. Here you can read about the various versions. http://www.wroclaw.pl/en/secrets-of-wroclaws-coat-of-arms-video

Thanks for the comments OlofZ . I am a hobbies photographer and no silver Expert The ring has gone back to the owner my partner deals in modern silver jewellery and knows her stuff but if it not Schnauffer its got to be German

Breslau coat of arms and Swastika.Meaning definitively Nazi period. Crescent and crown .800 fineness meaning German silver mark. Everything else is unsupported by facts. Assumptions are not a method of judgement (the maker,Hitlerjugend, a solder etc).

Yes Ivan49 lots of guess work lol my friends grandfather was a soldier in the New Zealand Army and was fighting the Germans in Africa he found the dead German and took the ring that is as much as we know . The grandfather is dead now so we can not ask any more questions
