Hello again my CW friends, I have another conundrum for you, please consider the back mark I have posted, it comes from the base of a porcelain item that I have recently purchased, could anyone offer any information it would be greatly received, thank you
Not Chinese porcelain. Made by Thomas Goode & Co. London (sticker on the bottom). Please post photos of the item in it's entirety.
http://www.thomasgoode.com/
Thomas Goode is a London retailer of fine china/porcelain from all over the World, so most pieces they sell have there name on them as well as the actual maker’s mark, which gets confusing.
Please post a photo of the actual item too
Added photos as requested, dimensions for this piece are 160mm x 120 x 70 thanks for being interested
Couldn’t find anything on the mark, but the box does look quite old. You don’t have your location on your profile, but if your in the UK, I would contact Thomas Goode, as I’m sure they must have a conservator or records department, or perhaps there’s a museum nearby?
I know that Sotheby’s and Christies, as well as other big auction houses have an on-line site where you can send photos of a piece, and they may give you info, and even offer to buy or auction it for you.
Thank you maryh1956, I wonder if you could take the time to have a look at a Chinese/Japanese mark I am about to load, any comment would be appreciated
Hello yop, thank you, these would be the 8 precious Buddhist marks sometimes found on Kangxi ceramics I guess, thank you for your interest

Unusual mark, first time I see one of these Chinese symbols used as a mark, this link has a good representation of 4 types of symbols used in Chinese decorative wear.

Wonderful porcelain box, the top seems to have the motif of the Chinese symbolic hundred treasures, and the box sides as often happens, flowers representing the 4 seasons.
