I love this old piece of folk art found in the Dutchman's trunk.
It's got the year it was made which is quite clear even though only written not carved (1942) under the Sydney Harbour Bridge
On the left I can just make out "To The ....ongs (maybe Strongs?)" and the right "From The ........??
The timber I think is an Australian rainfoerst wood but it might be Satinwood, it is very attractive and yellowish??
I think its a KEEPER, JEARVE !!!!
I think so too, like the clock and a few other items.........
It's great - even better that it's dated.
That is really a great piece!!
Stunning. I would do many things for a boomerang with a harbor bridge on it!
