Great Art Deco silver plated set. I have found several similar on the internet, but none with the ornate details.
Any suggestions? Ideas? Year? Make? Designer?
Here is one I found that was similar in style, but not design. http://www.antiques.com/classified/Antique-Silver/Antique-Silver-Plate/ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-DECO-SILVER-PLATE-BAKELITE-TEA-SET
Thanks!

There are no marks on the pieces anywhere?
None that I can see :-(

Above is the link to the antiques dealer who had the look-a-like set you mention in your post. It might be a good idea to send her photographs of your set, and see if you can collaborate on getting your questions answered. Her ad suggests set was made in the 20's-30's, and obviously art deco.
I think she would be very interested to see your tea set.
It is an amazing piece of art deco, gorgeous - I hope you can find out what you need to know.
I actually sent her a request a while back, but never heard from her :-(
Thanks,
Denise
Beautiful.
Your tea set is based on the famous design which was developped by Christian Fjerdingstad for the french company "Christofle" and used on the oceanliner "Normandie" in 1935. The design was so innovative and popular that other companies produced similar looking replicas. But those were not in silver and not as finely crafted as the original "Christofle" ones. I myself have a pair of replicas similar to yours but as well without engravings - like the one you have found in the internet. The ornament leaves the impression that someone couldn't quite let go the old style though using new Art Deco forms.
Greetings!
