1900 Albany New York Baseball

I found two albums full of this baseball team and I cannot find much of anything on them. One player is John Pappalan and his 1910 Census states he was a professional baseball player. Another photo is of Ed Phelps, which research shows he was friends with Cy Young and Babe Ruth. The Cy Young in this photo I don't believe is the Cy Young as in "Cy Young awards. The only insignia is the A on the cap and the shirt. This team played Scranton, Syracuse and Wikes-Barre. Any ideas on date or name of team, etc. would be appreciated
