I was just given this clock by a friend who said her family got it long ago from a subway in NY. That's ALL she or I know about it. Any help?
Hello Anthony. Welcome to Collectors Weekly. It looks like your friend has given you a Seth Thomas "ArcadeNo. 1" from about circa 1928. In original condition and in good working order they can be very collectible and valuable. Do an internet search on the Model Name and you'll find many more examples. Hope that solves your mystery. That's so awesome Bruce. Thanks so much. I've done a search using that model number but only similar clocks with "regular-number faced" come up instead of one with Roman numerals like mine. Is this common?
That's an insignificant option. One often finds a variety of dial options on a model. Indeed, American Clock Manufacturers often offered a wide range of dial "upgrades" or just slight variations to their markets. It looks like your clock's case may have been refinished.

One last thing.....it didn't come with a wind-up key. Would you happen to know the key size for this particular model?

You might also want to consider having the clock properly serviced if you intend to run it. These types of clock movements require periodic maintenance and lubrication. Good luck with it and thanks for sharing with us.
Anthony, I have a possible correction for you...this may be a model called the "Gallery" and not the "Arcade" as I had thought before.
