An another flea market find... and I would like to hear your opinion:
- What do you think, was there a center stone originally? To me it looks like the brooch center was left intentionally empty, as a part of the design ..or not?
-What do you think, is this box original? (it is quite ugly in my opinion BTW, but if it is original I will leave it as it is).
And when was this made? Because of the box, my nonexpert guess is 1970s or 1980s but I am really not sure.

Boxes of that kind usually hold badges, memorial pins, association pins etc. Yours is missing a foam or paper lining where a pin would be fastened. So if we speculate that this pin was designed to have maybe a logo piece or insert of some kind in the center (it does not make sense to have it empty as it is now), then I suppose, the box could be original. It's only a guess though.
