    6 cups and saucers, milk jug, sugar bowl and a tea pot. This was given to me as a wedding gift in 1973. The bottom is marked 'Hand painted Japan'.

      Love this, it's a very pretty set and I think it's referred to as Lusterware. I want to see what others say about it. I hope I'm not wrong. Was it new when it was given to you?
