From whenever cigars were 10 cents. Perhaps 1950s.
Anyway the inside of the box has great graphics. This would be sitting on the counter and someone would ponder if they could afford to spend cents on one of these.
My reason for buying this aside from the graphics is to put all the loose items sitting on my desk that belong on my desk in the box. Next I will need another box for the items that belong somewhere else. Also another for trash.
Cigar boxes are quite collectible. Depending the usual things (age, rarity, condition and graphics) they can be worth a nice little sum.
Thank you very much ravage60. Tobacciana seems to be rather popular.

That's a neat cigar box. When I was a kid my Uncle Harry used to save his King Edward cigar boxes for my brothers and sisters and I for pencil boxes at school. They made great boxes for holding Crayons, pencils, scissors and glue.
Wait!!! A vintage cigar box for TRASH?!!? Isn't that sacrilegious??? [;>)))))
Thank you very much Scott. We used to glue macaroni to them and paint them gold. I have lots of boxes for this that that and this.
Thank you very much NevadaBlades. OK I'll get another of those syrup buckets as they make good waste baskets.
