This brooch is an enormous 3 1/2 inches long and very heavy. In my opinion this is in the style of Charles and Gladys Mumford, of course no marks. The flowers, leaves and swirls are all in beautiful condition, it's a beautiful brooch. The clasp is unusual, it looks like a safety pin, I was wondering if this was to take the weight off the brooch. I would be interested in any comments.
Many thanks for looking
The catch dates it to the Art Deco period.

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but I see what looks like letters on the top of the brooch in the middle photo. Looks like "ANTH"....I'm getting new glasses in about two weeks, LOL!
I'll have a good look tomorrow Bonnie, see if there are any marks. If it is Charles and Gladys Mumford it would date from the 1950s -60s. I also need glasses I'm as blind as a bat these days, lol.
Jean, you don't have a loupe? You can pick them up for $20 -$30. They are so worth it. Especially for you! This is beautiful!
I sure miss those days when I could see that ity bity stamp from a mile away!!! Without my trusty loupe, I'm just not seeing it at all!
It always seems strange to me that silversmiths who make beautiful things would leave them unsigned.
Hi shareurpassion, Yes i do have a loupe, like you I could spot a hallmark miles away alas those days have gone :-( thanks for your comment :-)
