We found this couch for free online, someone had had it in their porch for years with intentions of recovering but never did. It is Straw Filled, so Im guessing its pre 1950's, and has been recovered once. The original fabric is a light beige/ off white color and has beautiful stitch work. The frame doesnt have any stamps or dates that we can find so far, but seems to be in good shape. The nails used for the original upholstery are round, and the 2nd refinished used staples. The springs are in good shape still. The woodwork seems to be hand carved or chiseled since its quite inconsistent. There is also a burlap type material used in the back, but im unsure if this was added or if it is original. Any ideas!? The woodwork is quite basic.
