Another piece from a mid-west private collection. Looks like a typical plummet. Not sure of the type of stone but heavy for the size. Approx 3 in x 3/4 in. Any info is appreciated.

This piece, looks as if, it has copper inclusions in it...that would explain the weight of the object, it might not be just a "rock" My sister and husband are well known artists..of 17th and 18th century historically correct reproductions....The native americans used copper in many of their early works...I am a hobbyist working at copper smithing, and am trying to reproduce native american copper sequins for them, and what I am doing looks much like this....really interesting and very pretty piece
Thank you your comments. My son is a geologist and also there are flecks of copper so you are probably correct. I'll have him take it to the lab one day.
