This one's a bit of a mystery. Recently purchased from an elderly lady who remembers this being in her mother's home since she was a young child. It is approx. 9 inches (23cm) high and 5 inches (13cm) wide.

I love the deep, rich red colour, especially when it's displayed near a sunny window. It's in perfect condition and I'm amazed this delicate item has survived so many years without damage!

I am unsure whether this is English or Venetian art glass?

My feeling is Victorian English Lynn but it's not my area of knowledge. I hope others see and comment on your ruby vase!

Victorian ruby glass with shell (kind of) foot and rim. 1850/1890?

Thank you racer4four and lizzycbw. It's hard to believe how this lovely item has survived all those years without any damage or obvious wear marks!
