This is a table I'm considering buying but have no idea what type or how old it is. The gentleman who has it says he bought it at an auction for a law firm in Philadelphia in a building that dates to the 1700'store. I'd appreciate any information on this. Thanks
This could be quite old. Early handmade dovetails & what appear to be early dowel construction.
That's what I thought. And in the one pic you can see on the top where the wooden pegs connect the top to the base. I'm really tempted to buy but don't want to go in blind
So, can anyone help me on this? I want to get it so bad but don't want to overspend
Your call, I'm afraid !
Afraid of what?
Spool turnings 2nd 1/2 19th Century? looks like original finish
Agree with sean-- late 19th century.
A bit clunky (large boards and dovetails) in construction and rough condition, I wouldn't want to put much into it. What is it priced at?

He wanted $200. I offered $150 and he accepted
That is reasonable.

So what might the value of this be?
