Here's my claim to fame as far as cake stands go ;) And why I have two different bottoms here is beyond me, other than I believe the one in the first photo actually go together but I like the other one better because it's all clear and smooth. I prefer that texture.
Age and origin are unknown. I do know this is very heavy and unsure if that matters agewise?
Tall Cakes, this one's for you!
Thanks.
beautiful!!
it's 'Monaco' by Anchor Hocking, and, I think, still in production. These are made so the dome can be placed on the base with the stand also upside-down to have a punch bowl.
Really? That's funny and I would have never known to do that. I'm sure these are still in production, I don't think I've had this piece too long. Can you tell me which bottom goes with the top?
Thanks TC for you input!
Thank you Sean, EG, Rick and Mr J!
I think the plateau with the texture was the one boxed with the dome. Tho' Anchor Hocking made/makes several very similar stands that are interchangeable with their domes.
Beautiful!
I have made a coment on your nice mexican ring :)
Apologies for missing these comments and loves. They are all appreciated and I don't intentionally miss them. Many times life gets crazy around here and I hope to catch up to all!
TallCakes, thank you again for your input. I wish I knew as much about glass as you do, I'm very grateful that you are here! I'm looking for your site address again, I'd like to refer someone to it if you don't mind...
Elisabethan, thank you for your love and comment...oh, I think I know exactly what you are talking about...I will go and check it out right after this! I thought you might like that ring ;)
Nutsy, that is cool this turns into a punch bowl, right?! I would have never known if TallCakes hadn't said so!!! Thank you!
