Picked this up at a local antique shop along with the sleeve iron. Saw the made in China sticker and bought it anyway. No offense to China but that indicates that it is not vintage. It is very nice regardless. It is ceramic and looks much nicer than my plastic Kleenix box holder I was using before. Works well with my other vintage items.

I agree. I find tissue boxes tacky so why not cover them with something you like. Goes well with your enamel ware!
Besides; maybe it's a Qing dynasty tissue box cover.

      It's a very pretty cover, fortapache. :)

Thank you very much racer4four. I am sure the ancient Chinese emperors liked to hide their tacky Kleenex boxes too.

I think it looks great in your bathroom. I had a crappy little plywood tissue box with cartoon elephants on it....bletch. I found a beautiful hand made wooden tissue box in a thrift shop. The bottom slides open. Now my Kleenex have style!
