Hi , I like the pin ! The meaning of which is simple . Capt Eddie Richenbacher was the first world war 1 ace and his famous" Hat in the ring "squadron (So named because the US had finally comitted to the war effort .) laid many enemies in their graves and Capt Eddie later became President of the once major Eastern Airlines . My uncle, Capt J.J.Masaitis proudly flew for Eastern and Captain Eddie for many years . I hope this helps your search . Jack Mason

I received a hat in the ring pin with diamond on the 25th anniversary as a Flight Attandant with Eastern in 1989. On a short stop in Mexico City it was taken from my jacket while I was in the airport. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement for it?
