Morgan Church - September, 2016 - North Carolina

I have recently completed several projects, including the construction of 2 new lighthouses, the Rile's Creek and Grant's Creek Lighthouses, and in this post, my latest creation, the Morgan Church. This building is unlike any I have made before, in that it is built largely from granite, specifically pink granite which is common in this area. I have named the church the Morgan Church after the Morgans in my family. The church was built entirely from scratch out of granite pebbles cemented together, and wood. It has an old-fashioned zinc coated, patterned steel roof, and pastel blue and pink trim. On the front wall, on either side of the entrance are 2 blue glass decorations plastered to the stone. This building is completely weather resistant, as are all of my buildings. Inside, it has stained and finished wooden floors, 6 blue, old-timey church pews, a pulpit, and a choir loft. In the steeple and bell tower is a shiny new bell, even equipped with a flywheel as seen in real bell towers. It also has smooth plastered interior walls, and wooden framed windows. I have always admired the local historic churches from the 1800s in this area, and their designs were conglomerated into this piece of folk art, built in the fashion of the small old 1800s country churches. It sure was fun to build, and even more fun to enjoy viewing at the foot of the oak tree where it currently stands next to my lighthouse. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!

Extraordinary! You are very clever and the result here is wonderful. I want to be really little and go inside.
