The bracelet isn't marked, but I'm 99.9 percent sure the maker is Jakob Bengel. I saw this on eBay and immediately recognise his work, I was the only bidder, the price was good and couldn't help myself, I should have more will power lol. This bracelet is made of chrome and I think red glass, or Bakelite. I shall put a link in my comments below, telling you more about Jakob Bengle. He as become very collectable in recent years.

I would class this as a "maybe." I went through my Bengel book as well as reviewed my Bengel bracelets and here are some comments:
- colored material would be Galalith, a milk-based plastic used by Bengel (as well as Maison Auguste Bonaz) in the late 1920s-1930s
- Most of Bengel pieces (using Galalith) have the Galalith piece fixed to the chrome backing by a screw(s). Seems to be very consistent with necklaces. Here is a photo:

- Link bracelets, as far as I can tell from photos and my two bracelets, do not have jump rings. Instead they use chrome loop fasteners. I am not good at describing, but here are two Bengel bracelets with front, back and side photos (the pictures are big so you can see the details):

- Finally, I used to have a bracelet made of those Deco barrel-like links but it is gone and I don't have any photos of it. I have not seen any Bengel which uses that exact finding though he did have some which were similar. There were a number of Pforzheim manufacturers producing similar jewelry with Henkel & Grosse being quite prolific.

Thanks so much for your information. I can see what you mean with your links showing the chrome loop fasteners between the panels.
The above link I've posted, is showing the same bracelet as mine, that is what I'm basing my opinion on this bracelet being Jakob Bengel.
Great bracelet. I also look at your referens page peasejean but I would also want to have a safer reference like the book by Weber like Bluboi refered to. Will buy it one of these days to learn more.

Wow, that site sure has a lot of examples of Bengel. Too bad you can't expand the photos. I saw the bracelet like yours. What is interesting is that in 14 pages of Bengel bracelets on her site, that is the only one with jump rings. But, I hedged my answer with "maybe".... LOL!
Also interesting that she is saying the radio grill bracelets are Bengel. I have several of them (and love them!).
Of course, the identification of Bengel jewelry was a long time coming -- if you look at books from the 1990s (e.g., Moro, European Designer Jewelry) Bengel was not mentioned, even though there were photos of his jewelry.

You are very correct in saying that my bracelet is the only one with jump rings, just my luck, but I can live in hope. I'd love to know when they reopened the factory to get at the new/old stock, as lady says most of her items are these pieces.
To be honest I don't know anything about Jakob Bengel. I have been looking at Tadema Gallery, and I have noticed Jakob Bengel jewellery is very popular.
I wished I had the knowledge of jewelry !! stunning pieces!!

I had the opportunity to purchase a lot of Bengel in 2007, so wonder if that might be the time period? I have heard rumors that a small number of people got access to large quantities, so perhaps it has been gradually dribbling out into the market? Of course, when large quantities are released, prices tend to go lower....
Most of the necklaces I bought in 2007 are fairly simple and the elements are smaller than pictures would lead you to believe. The Bengel I have found to be most sought after are the enameled brickwork pieces and the gas pipe (snake chain) chrome. I see on the website with all of the Bengel, that there is an email address. Perhaps email her about your bracelet?
