Found this lovely small watercolor portrait of a girl at a local shop. The signature states A Brams. The portrait appears to have been sketched and then painted.
The actual painting is approximately 5X3

I really like this, could you date it for me, I was thinking Victorian.
    12. vintagelamp vintagelamp, 8 years ago
Peasejean, I was told that it was Victorian and believe that is the case. Thank you!
    13. Peasejean55 Peasejean55, 8 years ago
Your welcome vintagelamp, thanks for clarifying the date. :-)

How lovely. Is it a stand up frame - or, how is it displayed?
    18. vintagelamp vintagelamp, 8 years ago
Gillian, There is a hanger on the back. It hangs on the wall. Thank you!

Looks Victorian to me, too. Anything interesting on the back? Is is possible to open it up and look to see if there is any info written on the back of the portrait? You never know....

Efesgirl, Thank you! Yes, Nothing on the back.

I think the signature might be Abrams rather than A. Brams. Lovely painting; really nicely done.

      Jean123,
Yes, I wondered if it might be "Abrams." Thank you for your comment!
