Hello Collectors Here are my 1937/1938 mickey deluxe wrist watches. The 1st one is complete except for 1 charm. It has one Donald Duck charm. It is also with complete box and papers. The 2nd one is only the watch with the box lid and 2 charms. I think that the charms are not original as they are 3 D and not flat enameled ones. this one was given to me by a good friend/customer. To answer vonsboy response to me finding the bottom of the box is I haven't you saw the complete one in the photo. I am not sure how you could see that must have good eyes. thanks for looking hope you enjoy.
Two Deluxe wristwatches, why am I not supposed haha! Thanks very much for the post and the clarification! Indeed I'm enjoying it very much as I do whenever you
post.
Surprised not supposed haha!
Thank You vonsboy will try to post more as when I am feeling better. are there other watches that you would like in seeing than others ?
Sorry to take so long to reply, hope you are indeed feeling much better, I enjoy looking at any part or all of your collection, that you have great taste is obvious.
That you have a passion for it is also obvious. I share that passion. A casual look
at my postings reveals my over riding obsession with the 1930's English Mickey
Ingersolls. I only have two American Mickeys, the 1933 Chicago Worlds Fair and
the 38 Deluxe. A side note. I'm putting a spare 38 Deluxe box up on EBay next
week in an effort to further my collecting finances lol!
I meant to ask what you want that you don't have? I can't imagine what it might be
as your collection is so complete.
Thanks for the response vonsboy, I am always looking for all types of Disney collectables. My passion I guess is time pieces. I do not have as much as some of my other collector friends, but I do have around 750 watches and 100 clocks right now. I also collect Disney , food related , drinks, Xmas, toys, WW2, dolls\plush, advertising, figurines, lighting\lamps, fisher price, and much more. If I see something that jumps out at me at the time and I can justify and can afford it I will buy it. If I want some item bad enough I will pay up for it ( not good for resale but I do not buy for resale right now). There are still some 30s and 40s watches in original boxes I have not got yet. 95% of my watches are in original boxes most with papers, but still need papers to complete some items. I have not bought to much on E bay, do not have pay pal as not to trusting with high limit credit card on there, I have friends buy for me if I see something I want. I do have some one of a kind Disney watches and other items, I really like that kind of stuff. I missed a 1935 Donald duck wrist watch for less than 100.00 u.s. some one pushed the button 1st. Some of my most cherished items are maybe not all that rare but were given to me buy a friend and my customers that know I collect. For them to think of me for that means more than how rare it is, is priceless to me. Witch 38 box are you selling the small or larger one? I am in California not sure what time zone your in.
My box is the same as this unless this one, the "cake" box came in more than one size. I had the flat box at one time with the display insert.
I am not to up on what names that have been given to the boxes as I should be, I do not have I guess what you call the flat box, is that like the flat blue box like the lapel box?
Yes, Kerry10456 has the flat box 38 on his posting site if you want to have a look.
Not nearly as attractive to my mind as those pictured here. I had the flat box model
at one time but trade it away when I finally found the one I have now. My tiny
collection numbers 5 wrist watches and two clocks, haha!
Have posted the box to EBay if you would like to have a look. Hope you are feeling much better these days!
Thanks for letting me know about your watch box. Would love to have it but funds are real tight right now, do not know what my CT scan for cancer check up in 4 weeks co payment will be. Really a nice piece and would look good in my cabinet.
You are absolutely welcome, hope the CT results are great and you have many many
years of happy collecting ahead! If the box does not sell I'm perfectly happy putting
it back in my collection, so no worries!
