First of all I would like to make all of you aware how grateful and appreciatve I am to each and every one of you that takes the time to look at, note that you like or love the item, and/or place a comment on my postings! All of you are awesome! And for those of you thank don't...that is okay too... : )
Here is a find I made recently that I thought some of you would enjoy. It has what looks like an NTG or NTC on the bottom and is about 24 inches tall. On each side that a bulb is placed it says PATD July 6th 1909 with an F in a circle underneath. The middle and top part are steel with a magnet sticking to them. A magnet does not stick to the base. So I am not sure what material this would be. Everything is all original on it as well. I am not able to find anything specific on this item with all the research I have done, nor have I been able to find one that looks like it.
Feedback on possibly what year it is from, what material the base is made of, and/or the maker. Is this also supposed to have a shade? If not that is okay as well.
Have a blessed day my friends and as always thank you for looking! : )
Do you have the shade for it?
Thanks for getting back to me on this. Nope just the lamp. So is it pretty much a piece of junk??
It's not junk!! I believe a slag shade went on the lamp and I think it has the wrong finial on it. I have been patient and found a slag shade for sale by itself. I think the lamp is very nice once it gets a shade. I would keep it.
The additional information is appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks again official...
You are always so polite and nice in your posts:) As for the lamp being junk I agree with official. I think its beautiful even without a shade. Keep up the great pickin!
I have a slag shade in my antique shop for sale. Maybe you can buy the shade or I can buy your base.
Thank you so much vintagemad for the love and comment. What I have learned is you can never be too polite or say thank you enough! It seems in this day and age just the opposite can be true much more then it should be.
James it sounds like something I would not be interested in doing. With this is mind is there somewhere that I can see the shade you have mentioned?
By the way does anyone know what the NTG (or NTC) stands for on the lamp??
Didn't think it would take to long before someone had a shade. You will have a very collectible piece! It's great your lamp base has the date on it. The lamp will be worth several hundred dollars once it's married with a nice slag glass shade. Good luck! :-)
Thank you for the comment official and guidance on this once again. So it doesn't have to be the original slag shad or similar to it? Any slag shade that fits it will do?
electobacco give me a call about the lamp.
Thank you so much for the information and chattin it up official. Until next time. Peace out.... : )
I appreciate you stopping by once again Hedgewalker. Thank you for falling in love with this lamp. : ) Take care my friend....
