Hello everyone.
I don't really know what to tell you about this necklace!!! I have had it for 12 years (cost $5.00) and have searched for it several times over the years..... and I still don't know anything about it!!!
It is choker length 16 inches, has a screw in clasp, it is not magnetic, has not tarnished at all in this time and weighs roughly 48gms.
What I can say is that it sits perfectly and is really comfortable to wear!!
So I guess it could be stainless steel or something????
Keen to hear your thoughts.......thanks, Judy

Hi Judy, with the barrel clasp I would say your necklace is from the 1930s, it also could be chrome.
Hi Jean, that would be great to be that old!!! I will look into chrome too!!! Thanks for your help!!!
Your welcome Judy.
I like it very much! I lean in the direction of chrome, as jean suggested.
Yes Bonnie I think so too.......have not been able to find the right mix of key search words yet to find any quite like mine.....will keep looking lol! Thanks for your help!
Thanks so much Ken, I very much appreciate your lovely comment :-)
Judy - I tried numerous searches and didn't find anything that I thought resembled your necklace.
Really is what you thought, google images for mail chain.
Was thinking at first it was rhodium plate but more likely just a silver colour chain, very nice.
Love it! So interesting!
Whatever it is, it is very well made and pleasing to the eye!
I wonder if it is by Whiting and Davis - they started metal mesh jewelry, as well as purses. Just a thought.
Thanks for your comment PhilDMorris. Happy you think it is nice, there certainly are a lot of chain mail pieces out there, but still haven't found any with the pattern like mine.....will keep searching lol!! Appreciate your help, thank you.
Thanks Lentilka, yes it is!!!!
Gillian, thank you, that is a good thought! Will wade through all W&D today and see if anything jumps out!! Thank you for your help.
Bonnie, thank you for trying to find this, it will turn up one day.....nothing I have seen remotely resembles the patterned links on the front of my necklace in either chrome, stainless or chainmail, will look at Whiting and Davis today and anything else that springs to mind regarding mesh!! After that, well, I will just continue to wear it I guess!!!
