The Chribska jack in the pulpit vase is in the catalogues on Jindri's website. The other, I thought would be in the Skrdlovice catalogues but it isn't. I don't know if anyone recognises it?

This is my autumn sun window. And summer sun for much of this summer!

    They are 18 and 19.5cm.

The left hand one has a very Skrdlovice base. Polished and chamfered.

I would say ZBS for the left one, Ian. Is it neodymium/alexandrite glass too?

Della, I thought alexandrite as well but it just isn't as pinky as my other alexandrite glass.

Have you taken it out into the sunlight?
I still say Zelenzy Brod Sklo and more than likely Miroslav Klinger. I love it!

Have you seen the weather here in the UK? We seem to have just had a diffuse must for most of the summer! That's why it's a green and pleasant land, but not good for photographing glass in natural light!

I live in the UK, chuck, in South Staffs (but from further north originally). It's been beautiful here today ;)

You can see what our light was like in the pic above! Dreary, dreary, dreary!

Although it is a frosted window.

I'm voting ZBS (and neodymium/alexandrite) for the one on the left too. I have a large neodymium vase that I suspect is also ZBS but the color change just isn't very strong. I'm not sure if it's the glass mix or my light source.

How worn is the base on the blue Ian?
The reason I ask is I have seen this very ZBS style from Rikaro recently. I can't find a pic of it now to confirm but the fat trail and thicker mouth of this one is more like Rikaro than the earlier ZBS.

Here's one with a similar shape and a pinker shade:

Yep - fair enough swf. ZBS then!
    14. swfinluv1 swfinluv1, 8 years ago
Well, Karen, not really a positive ID, just a similar piece. I didn't see a sticker on the one in the link so it's hard to be sure. To be fair, I haven't seen any of the Rikaro pieces so I don't have any way to compare. Your comment wasn't actually posted on my screen when I added the link - I was just following up on my previous one because I forgot to add the link before I hit the submit button. : (

I was unsure about ZBS as the only trailed ones with stickers I have seen have had thinner trails and a "duck beak" rim. I will have a look at glass messages. The problem with relatively simple designs in clear or coloured glass is they are so reproducible - but this seems quality and has a smidgeon of wear on the base in keeping with a certain age.
