Cute pottery llama figurine. I know, its frame around the face makes me wonder "Ram." But, rams don't have such long necks! My best guess is that it is a llama! I found this in a thrift store and just could not resist the shape and the face. I've searched and searched, but, I cannot find any pottery/ceramic animal figurine similar to this. Perhaps this little one was made in quantities for a tourist/fun trade and is not of much significance. But, maybe, just maybe, there is more to the story. There is some writing in pencil, I believe, at the bottom of the figurine. It's appears to be a set of numbers which appear to be price rather than manufacturing in nature.
Does anyone recognize this figurine? Can you help me identify the maker? Even if it is a common tourist/fun for everyday type of figurine, I still think it's cute! It's a llama, right?!
It's a llama if you want it to be....
Who cares! It's wonderful!!
Thank you aura, TassieDevil, and racer4four!!
And, racer4four, I've also thought bighorn sheep. But, the neck is too long! ;) Thanks!
