Love your dragon cloisonne pieces. All I can add is the cloud shapes mean they have been made by Jingfa, China.
This is beautiful!!
thank you racer! and Efes!
Vintage Jingfa, then? The stuff they produce now is practically machine precise, these are far looser clouds than the pieces you see today. Cloisonne ashtray, this has a five clawed dragon like mine. Lisa, who used to help with Asian pieces, IDed mine for me. Perhaps wexval came offer some thoughts. :)
thank you katherinescollections! yes, i look forward to any other feedback, from wexval or others...
Hi ho2, love your cloisonné. I love its colours, size and is
in such good condition.
thank you Vintagefran!
Love this, and the fact that racer is awesome!!
thanks OneGoodFind! racer IS awesome!
Karen, that was a good point, we don't see those underside bottom decors till later 20th, when the Jingfa cloisonne company was producing them in China.
You can also see the 'machine made' wire applications which are sparser and well aligned. Lisa is back, don't know why I did not see this one before. Good find Pete.
