At first sight I thought this was a Welz hexagonal miniature vase with an astounding rim. I was wrong, or I should say, mistaken:) It is Welz, it is hexagonal, the rim is astounding but it's not a miniature! In fact the flamboyant rim makes it seem bigger than it actually is.
In image four you see it with two Welz miniatures, one in the same décor and one in the same shape but minus the zigzag rim.
Height 18 cm./7 inches
The miniatures are 11.5 cm./4.5 inches
look at that rim!! Wow!! I'm excited!!!!
Sorry if that reads badly Peggy. I hope you know it's genuine excitement.
Reads badly?.....I'm a glass nerd, literary style is not my thing! As it comes is fine, Karen, lol
In fact, Karen, in this case it's better than fine :)
Another Welz beauty!!
Love the rim!
scott
Thanks, scott. The rim is a new one for me.....
Hi Peggy, it's wonderful and looks fabulous! I had the opposite size surprise:) This was my first hexagonal vase. When I got another Welz hexagonal vase
I expected it to be a similar size but was taken aback by how much smaller it was.
amgosh, Karen is a hoot but this is lovely. :)
Luscious colors with a fantastic shape Peggy! Love the first Pic!!
Thank you Fran, it's flamboyant, even for Welz!
Thank you OGF, Karen certainly has a way with words, but so do you! amgosh?....... still trying to fathom that one :)
Thank you, Rick. It was a difficult vase to photograph and that was the only shot that gave a true depiction of its shape.
Thank you everyone for the loves.
