I was driving home today and saw alongside the road the remains to something that looked (past tense) ornate, so I stopped.
Much of it was already in the trash. The larger pieces were by the can.
It appeared to be some kind of cabinet/shelves that looked like they went crashing down the stairs as it was in ruins.
Nothing else was salvageable from what I could tell, so I pulled this off a board and took it home.
I then noticed at home that the nails were squared, so I'm assuming it has some fair age to it.
It is also damaged-- cracked and chipped-- but it appears to have been carved by hand, so I'm quite pleased that it is almost all there. There's a little colour left on the flowers and fountain.
Anyone care to guess the age?
