My Wife has recently inherited a number of items and we know nothing about their history so I would be fascinated to learn more so that I can pass on the information on to her family. Pictured is an old cigar box maked "NATILLA SELECTION PERFECTO" on the front, "COLORADO CLARO" on the base and "PETIT CORONAS" on the front of the box. It is made of cheap wood with brass hinges and a brass ring and nail acting as a mechanism to keep the lid closed. The mystery is that I cannot find anything on the internet about "NATILLA cigars. I believe they are Cuban and that the Wife's Dad smoked them. He was born in 1907. Also pictured is his silver Cigarillo / Cigarette case. From the hallmarks I have deduced it was made in 1922 in Birmingham by James Walker Ltd but sold in his Streatham London store. The case is only 3 inches by 2 inches hence I believe it was used for small cigars. The vesta case intrigues me. It is engraved with my Wife's Dads name but it has no hallmarks that I can see. Hence it may be foreign silver or not silver at all, maybe pewter or another metal. The design is very intricate and the piece is very tactile. There are zero clues to its origin or age. If anyone is able to expand my knowledge on any of these items I would be extremely grateful as we wish to pass the items and their history on to the great grandchildren. Thanking you all in anticipation Robert.
