    can anyone shed some light on this button please thinks its brass its about 20mm.....thanks ..i dont kow any thing else about this button i,m hoping some can help

      I cannot help with shedding light on it, but I can give a helpful tip that works on dug-up metals:
      Boiling 2% H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide found at most stores/pharmacies) will help remove some corrosion in most cases.

      Changing one of the images to the back of the button might help our button folks here ID it better, too, in terms of age. What does it read?

      If the button maker is stamped on the back, it's usually an easy search.
