What is this? Not at all sure of what this is....... maybe wet tape machine it is 5" x 11' about 8" tall

    This was in items from electrical contractor, think it might be a wet tape machine but do not know..............it is 5 x 11 x 8 inches..............

      It looks to be about 75% of a gummed tape dispenser from about 1923. A large roll of gummed tape would have gone on the vertical support, the bottom tub would have had a (probably) porcelain cylinder on the near the far end of and the tub would have had water in it. There would have been some kind of cutter near the end of that top metal piece. The tape would have been fed down and across the horizontal, fed under the cylinder at the base of the vertical piece, and you would have run the tape across the porcelain cylinder which would stay wet from the tub of water it was in.
