I don't know when it was first offered, but this model is called the "Barrister" and can still be purchased new anywhere from about $450 to $700. I think yours may have been an earlier model since it was originally listed as model 613-178. The current "Barrister" model number designation is 613-180

      See: http://www.howardmiller.com/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=12652&catalogId=13551&productId=10319 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnnALW5zLYY

Its design is very similar to a circa 1930's Seth Thomas Chime Clock Model designated as the Chime No. 53. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW1L7hsMTus

Howard Miller is still very much in business. If you contact them, perhaps someone can tell by the Serial Number, approximately when your clock was manufactured. See: http://www.howardmiller.com/

      Hope that helps a little.

      Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Bruce99! Does it look like the company changed the model number on the paper or the person who owned it
